Ofloxacin
Indications/Uses
Infections caused by bacterial strains that are susceptible to ofloxacin, blepharitis, dakriosistitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis & corneal ulcer.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Conjunctivitis due to bacteria Days 1 & 2: Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 hrly to the infected eye(s). Days 3-7: Instill 1-2 drops 4 times daily. Ulceration due to bacteria Days 1 & 2: Instill 1-2 drops to the infected eye(s) every 30 min. Days 3-7 or 9: Instill 1-2 drops to the infected eye(s) hrly. Day 7 or 9: Instill 1-2 drops to the infected eye(s) 4 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or other quinolone derivative antibiotics.
